New Publications July–December 2024
Dear colleagues,
Bärenreiter is in its 101st year. The months of celebrations and festivities are over. We are delighted with the great response to the anniversary and would like to thank everyone who reported on it in newspapers, magazines, on the radio and television.
In this “Programme”, you can see that our “normal” work has not been neglected amidst all the hustle and bustle. There are some nice new issues for many musicians. Cellists will be delighted with reliable editions of Rachmaninoff’s cello works.
Flutists get “new old music”: Cathrin Ambach has arranged Johann Sebastian Bach's sonatas for transverse flute and basso continuo or obbligato harpsichord for two flutes. These versions can be used very beautifully in concerts and lessons.
For ambitious choirs, there is a new edition of Frank Martin’s Mass for Double Choir, for which all surviving sources have been thoroughly re-examined.
Please find an order form for review copies here.
I look forward to continuing to work with you and wish you a wonderful summer.
Sincerely,
Johannes Mundry
Press Officer
