Bärenreiter awards special prizes at the Mozart competition in Salzburg

After much deliberation the jury finally chose the winner - Clarissa Bevilacqua from Italy (photo: 3rd from left). She was awarded first prize in the prestigious 14th International Mozart Competition in Salzburg in the category violin. Yun Tang (right) from China was awarded second prize, followed by Austrian-Swedish violinist Lorenz Carls (left) who received third prize. During the finale which took place on 5 February in the large hall of the Mozarteum Foundation they each played a Mozart violin concerto. Johannes Mundry (Bärenreiter public relations) presented all three finalists with a Bärenreiter Urtext Prize in the form of a voucher for Bärenreiter sheet music to the value of EUR 300.
