Success with Beethoven's seventh

Kirill Petrenko conducted the Berliner Philharmonic Orchestra using the Bärenreiter edition

The Berliner Philharmonic Orchestra started their season 2018/19 with an overwhelming success. They gave two concerts in Berlin as well as guest performances in Lucerne and Salzburg under the baton of their new chief conductor Kirill Petrenko who will take up this post for the 2019/20 season.  As part of their programme they played Ludwig van Beethoven's Symphony No. 7 with the Bärenreiter edition edited by Jonathan Del Mar. This was also used by Sir Simon Rattle, Petrenko's predecessor. (Photo: Monika Rittershaus)
