How does a search in the product area work?
There are two ways to search for products in “Sheet Music” and “Books”.
Entering a search term
Any search term can be entered in the search field. The search term then appears as a tag in the upper area under “keywords”. After clicking on “Search” the search results are shown and can be further refined by entering another search term. Individual search terms can be removed by clicking on the corresponding tag.
Tips for entering search terms
Avoid punctuation marks in the search term and separate individual search terms with a space: Beethoven Symphony D minor op 125
If you want to search for an order number, enter this as follows:
BA9009 (no space between the series and the edition number)
BA4712 02 (a space between the edition number and the part number) or
BA4712-02 (a hyphen between the edition number and the part number)
Of course you can further refine the results obtained through the search terms by additional clicking on tags in the keyword navigation (see below) and thus combine both methods of searching.
The second possibility is the keyword navigation under the heading “Further refinement of product search” in the left-hand column of the product area.
By clicking on the desired tags in the categories Composer/Author, Keywords, Instrumentation / Scoring (this applies only to “Sheet Music”) and Product Type, you can build up your desired search results. The chosen terms can also be seen in the upper area as tags and can be removed by clicking. Here, you can also further refine the results obtained through the keyword navigation by additionally entering search terms in the search field (see above) and thus combine both methods of searching.
All selections, whether through search terms or keyword navigation, are listed in the upper area as tags and can be removed by clicking. Otherwise the existing search results will continue to be refined.
In the lower area, for each title shown in the search results, you will see the keywords from the keyword navigation which are related to this product. By clicking on the tags you can further limit the search results directly in the search results list.
By choosing a title in the search results list you will be taken to a detailed view of the product. On the detailed view page, you still see the search results list
in the right-hand column. Thus you can go directly to another product on the results page, alter the search results list by clearing the tags, or return to the initial page by clicking on “Back to search”.
You can begin a new search by clicking on “Remove all keywords”.
