1965-1968 | Studied music theory and composition with Fritz Büchtger and violin with Erich Keller as part of the Munich Waltershausen Seminar |
1966 | Highschool graduation at the “Musisches Gymnasium”, Munich |
1968-1972 | Violin studies with Heinz Endres and composition studies with Günter Bialas at the State School for Music, Munich |
1970 | First prize in the composition competition for the 20th anniversary of the Südwest- deutsches Kammerorchester, Pforzheim (Southwest German Chamber Orchestra) |
1971 | Richard Strauss Prize from the city of Munich |
1972 | State Exam in composition at the State School for Music, Munich |
1972–1974 | Grant from the DAAD (“German Academic Foreign Service”) for work at the Institute for Sonology at the Utrecht University (studio for electronic music) |
