The first Quempas-Heft, a collection of Christmas carols. The total number of editions published up until the present day amounts to over 3 million copies.


1932

Hugo Distler has his works published by Bärenreiter.


1933

The Arbeitskreis für Hausmusik (later called the Internationaler Arbeitskreis für Musik) is founded. It organises the first Kasseler Musiktage in the autumn.


1935

The newly-built publishing house in the Heinrich-Schütz-Allee 35 is ready to be occupied. Already in 1934, the Rasenallee was renamed Heinrich-Schütz-Allee at Karl Vötterle’s suggestion.


1936

Start of the series Das Erbe deutscher Musik.
