Bärenreiter-Verlag Basel

In 1944 Karl Vötterle founded the first foreign subsidiary of the publisher. In this way the rights of authors could continue to be secured, thereby ensuring the distribution of their works.

Bärenreiter Basel published works primarily by Swiss composers such as Willy Burkhard, Klaus Huber, Rudolf Kelterborn, Beat Furrer, Andrea Lorenzo Scartazzini and Dieter Ammann.

At the beginning of 2021 all Basel titles were taken over by Bärenreiter Kassel.
